These knives are incredibly sharp, feel well balanced, and the wood handle is beautiful and a perfect fit.

I want to give these a 5 star, but the only protection they come with is for the tip of the blade ONLY!
While protecting the tip is absolutely a must, leaving the remaining (read entire) blade fully exposed can (is) dangerous. Makes zero sense.

Wow... these knives are super sharp. I keep them in the original box is a safe drawer. They are not safe to be dumped in a silverware drawer. Not for new cook, children or elderly. Love the set but caution is advised. They are very sharp. I also have mesh gloves to protect hands from getting cut. Awesome quality.

For the price, I find it hard to believe that these can be beat. They're an order of magnitude nicer than most of the knives that'd been dragging through the kitchen for the last decade or so. They arrived nicely packaged, and very sharp. They feel sturdy, the weight balanced, the handles comfortable. Do they compare with the super high-end $100 knives? I don't know, I'm a poor and can't spend that kind of money on kitchen knives.

We live on our sailboat and didn't want to spend hundreds on a set of knives, so tried these based on other reviews. Been using for a month and SUPER SHARP. We haven't had to sharpen yet and we wash/dry immediately, but so far --- just wow! Feel like we spent hundreds - spent less on this set than I would have on just a paring knife!!! Can't go wrong.

These are really nice knives and cut very well. You need to hand wash them due to not being dishwasher safe.

So sharp and balanced I cant believe they only cost 50 dollars. They feel like they should cost more.

I sent all of my Cutco back for sharpening and I didn't want to be left with no knives so I bought this set with rhe intent to gice away to my daughter once my other knives came back. I ended up keeping them! However I bought them on sale for about $34. I believe I saw them at regular price after for MUCH more. Great knives but you can tell they will have a short life. I wouldn't recommend them if they're anything over the sale price.

It's very nice set the only thing is I wish I could have gotten the apren ?? I didn't get one I thought it was under all the knifes so I took out everything and there was nothing under it so I hope I can get one separately? Oh well the knifes are sharp!

So far, these are pretty good especially compared to what it replaced. They look nice on counter and are very sharp. Yes, I did nick myself twice. Went through splitting raw chicken breast great. Due to the cost, I just hope they stay sharp, IDK

quality and value

Blade on the chef knife has a strange sort of tab on it. Handles seem heavy when compared to the blade, which is to say the knives feel out of balance. None of these are critical flaws, just what is expected at this price point.

This is a good looking set of knives. They feel well in hand and cut well. My only concern is the thickness / sturdiness of the blades. The blade can be somewhat easily flexed side to side, unlike other knife sets I have that are much sturdier. It could be that this is by design? Either way I am happy with the knives and impressed with the packaging. They cut very well and thus do what they were designed to do.
