I love these knives, my only complaint is they were not fully sharpened when received. Otherwise, very sturdy and nice to hold and maneuver.

This knife set looks very good but overall Im a bit disappointed in the quality of the knives! Doubt if they will last half as long as the set they are replacing ( 30 years )

Great quality, sturdy but heavy to hold

Lovely looking knives, and love the style of the block, unfortunately on the base of one of the knives already started to chip and damage to base as soon as taken out of box. Shame as lovely product.

Amazing looking knife set, extremely sharp, its just a shame it came with a missing guard for my small knife (see right hand side). Would appreciate if that part could be sent as returning for a new set will just be inconvenient.

Lovely sharp knives, great design. The scissors are very poor quality, when closing the handles cross over each other. Didn't like the block either.

Seem pretty good - sharp out of the box, no holder comes with this set but do fit the one we already had.

Really affordable knife set. 7 pc including a a knife block for just under 35, price at time of review. Honestly good value. Give the knives a proper sharpen before use and I found that to make them far better to work with.

A lovely little set with a rotating stand. The stand is a little plasticky and not as good as the knives, but it looks okay and very functional. The set includes a honing steel which they mistakenly call a sharpener - there is a subtle difference. Honing realigns the existing edge of a knife, while sharpening creates an entirely new edge by removing material. Both methods can improve the performance of a knife, but sharpening is the best option for renewing a dull blade. Rule of thumb is hone more and sharpen less. For sharpening nothing beats a whetstone imho.
The knives are nowhere near professional (chef) level, you can tell by the blade finish and hidden tangs (since they typically have shorter partial tangs that don't run down the length of the handle), hence are cheaper to produce and are much lighter knives, as these are. Don't let that detract from the set though - a really nice (sharp) set. I really like the honing steel and the scissors. Currently selling for 34.99 and available in three different types of finish.

I think its unfair to berate these - what do you expect when you receive 5 knives, a sharpener and a pair of scissors for 29.99?? 4.28 a piece? Plus a free carousel?? How is that not great value? Yes these arent samurai quality but you get what you pay for.

I didn't expect a top quality set of knives for just 35 or so but they are okay for students, young couple or family on budget.
First of all, I don't like the stand as the dust will be on it from the moment I take it out of the box. Lots of gaps, hard to reach spaces to clean.. its just not for my nerves. I'll keep the knives in a drawer instead.
Secondly, the knives are very lightweight and the plasticky handle does feel rather cheap. The surface of the big knives feels a bit rough, I could use it as nail file, literally ?? The knives are sharp for now but only time will tell how quickly they become blunt or damaged.. hopefully not, but it's not guarantee as the metal is thin and not as strong as my other knives worth between 200-300 per set. The scissors and sharpener for the knives are okay too.
All in all, we get what we pay for after all. The overall quality is okay, the set is worth the price.

This is a decent enough set of food prep knives, they come with a nice rotating block/holder which will store them safely as well as looking attractive on your worktops. ? The knives come razor sharp and there is a honing steel which will help to keep their edge. ? These is a great selection of knives, from an 8cm paring knife through to a 20cm bread knife - you also get a pair of kitchen scissors and a meat cleaver, this is the first set that Ive seen with one of these. ? ?The knives are fairly light in weight and feel pretty well balanced, the handles are very comfortable to hold and give you a good grip on them. ? ?I must admit to not being too keen on the scissors, I would have preferred that they had handles similar to the knives - those black rubberised inserts will get loose and keep dropping out, as has happened with similar pairs that Ive owned. ? These would make a great gift for someone who is setting up home.

Great set of knives for the price! They are razor sharp and I love using them for everyday food prep. Ive been through several other sets that I thought would be good but these are the best by far!
