Arrived on time and in good condition.These knives are sharp out of the box. Be careful if you are not accustomed to handling truly sharp knives. They are nicely weighted and do not seem to cause hand or wrist fatigue.These knives easily cut through the partially frozen chuck roast in the attached photo in less than 60 seconds.While these knives look nice and well made, I give craftsmanship 8 stars because I do not know yet how well they will stand up to repeated use. I've only had them a week. They are not near the high end of professional chef knives, but they are very nice. Still, overall, I give these 4 stars overall.

As someone who frequently cooks brisket, I highly recommend this knife. Not only does it have an attractive appearance, but it also boasts impressive sharpness. Despite using it four times, I have only had to sharpen it once. The weight and balance are perfect, and the handle feels excellent, especially after extended use. Clean-up is a breeze; everything washes off well. I have even put it in the dishwasher, which is typically not recommended, but it held up fine. This knife is ideal not only for brisket but also for turkey or ham. Overall, I would recommend this knife to any avid cook.

This is a much better knife than I expected for the price. My husband likes to make standing prime rib roasts but has a devil of a time cutting them with a chef's knife; this knife slid through our Christmas roast like butter. He says it has a nice, comfortable, balanced grip, and it makes it very easy to cut large roasts without sawing and making the meat look kind of ragged--when he uses this knife, the slices look restaurant-quality. The Damascus print is pretty but unnecessary...what matters are the nice grip and sharp blade, which this knife has. It also has its own box, which is great because I don't have anywhere to store this big sucker without risking someone slicing a finger on it. We wash it (by hand), dry it, and replace it in the velvet-lined box to protect it. The blade seems to be good quality, but we will only use it to carve large cuts of meat, so I'm hoping it will last for years with proper care.I would definitely order another of these. He's picky about knives and he likes it, so it's a win for me. A blade cover would've been nice, but for the price, I'm not complaining.

I daughter gave me the three piece set. The knives trim, cut, and slice effortlessly. I like to slice chicken breast thin for piccata and scallopini dishes. The knives cut beautifully.

For the amount that I paid, this set of knives have held up beautifully. They feel great in my hands and maintain a sharp edge for quite some time with proper care and treatment. They make a great addition to any kitchen!

This is called a brisket knife. It's its 12 inch blade is extremely sharp. It has a beautiful wood handle. The blade is full tined. I wouldn't put it in the dishwasher but I prefer to hand wash my knives. It comes in a sturdy box with a magnetic closure and a sheath. This isn't an everyday knife. It will slice a brisket beautifully. The heft and balance is good.

You would guess you paid a lot more for it.It has a balance and a heaviness that makes it feel high quality and it aids cutting through large pieces of meat.This went through my brisket like it was warm butter.I washed it by hand and it stayed sharp while I cut the brisket the next day.I got a lot of compliments on my professional knife.The storage case is a nice bonus as this is too large to fit in most drawers.I cant say enough good things about this knife! 5 Stars!

Some of the sharpest knives I have ordered on . Me and my wife love to cook and these make the process easy and fun. It makes me smile when my wife invites friends over to cook and everyone wants to try the knives. Only good responses. You should love these and the price was amazing.

Took these knives to a cooking class with a multi published author. They performed so well. We learned new techniques and the knives were great!! Glad I purchased rather than bring in some old knives.

This set is everything they said and more! I love them, have been using them now faithfully for over a month! The packaging is clean and done well. All 8 knives are VERY sharp. Put my ceramic knives on the wall of shame. The handles provide excellent grip even when wet and the blades are razor sharp. Salmon skin didnt take more than one cut to go all the way across, my ceramic was like a saw??

The look of the knives is great. They appear to be made of multiple layers but when you pick one up, you can tell its light like a single layer.**** Update - so the knives have held their edges after 8 months of use so the steel is the real deal. The lightness definitely is in the handle. I have updated my review based on the 8 months of usage but what really made feel like it deserved five stars was their customer service. They were in contact with me almost immediately after I shared my feedback and still remain in touch to this day. This is a great company and should be the model for 90% of these other stores who dont seem to care about the customer experience. I am going to be purchasing one of their brisket knives solely based on their commitment to deliver not just high quality products but also high quality customer service. If you are debating between a couple different blades from a couple different makers, go with Paudin. They are the brand you can trust and who stand behind their products.
